Privacy policy
Last updated 14 October 2026.
Draft: this page hasn't been reviewed yet and may change before launch.
This policy explains what personal data LayerWorks collects when you use this website, why, and what rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
LayerWorks is run by [Business legal name], [Business postal address]. Email abelyonathan504@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and delivery address.
- The model file you upload and the print options you choose.
- Your order details, including what you paid and when.
- Anything you write to us in order notes or messages.
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Why we use it
- To make and deliver your order, and to contact you about it. This is needed to carry out our contract with you.
- To keep accounting records, which the law requires.
- To answer messages you send us.
We don't send marketing emails, and we never sell your data.
Who we share it with
We use these services to run the shop. They only use your data on our instructions:
- Supabase, which stores orders and model files.
- Stripe, which takes card payments.
- Resend, which sends order emails.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- GitHub, which keeps daily backups of order records for 14 days.
- The delivery company that brings your order.
Some of these companies may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards the UK recognises, such as standard contract clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as UK tax law requires, usually six years. We keep model files only while we need them for your order and any reprint, then delete them.
Cookies
This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe's payment page uses its own cookies to keep payments secure.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email us at abelyonathan504@gmail.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
